Vehicle eligibility | UK
You must be at least 18, and your vehicle must meet Resortifi’s eligibility requirements for listing in the United Kingdom.
Vehicle type and registration
- Be an eligible passenger vehicle located in the United Kingdom
- Be registered to you or to an owner who’s authorised you to list their vehicle, and meets all legal requirements.
- Ineligible vehicles include, but aren’t limited to, motorcycles, limousines, high-performance models, kit cars, left-hand drive, specialty vehicles, classic cars, commercial vehicles, minibuses, and vehicles used in any competition, trial, performance test, race or trial of speed, including off-road events
- Have permanent plates; we don’t allow temporary, dealer, or trader plates
Age and condition
You must be at least 18 years old to list a vehicle on Resortifi, and your vehicle must:
- Be registered in the UK in the name of the owner or a business
- Be listed in the name of an individual or of a company as long as name of individual is included
- Be no more than 10 years old at time of listing
- Be in ABI Group 1-50
- Have a fair market value of up to £100,000**
- Resortifi provides coverage for the actual cash value (ACV) of the car, up to a limit of £100,000 and uses a third-party vendor to determine vehicle value at time of listing

- Have fewer than 130,000 miles
- You must maintain your vehicle and continue to meet maintenance and safety standards as your vehicle ages
- Once listed, vehicles that reach or exceed 130,000 miles may remain listed if they’re in excellent condition and continue to meet all legal, safety, and mechanical standards
- Have valid MoT Certificate and annual vehicle servicing where required
- Have not been written off
- Have not been a total loss or subject to outstanding financing
- You must provide a Hire Purchase Information (HPI) check made on the vehicle to ensure this
- Categories include A, B, C, D, N, S, and X
- Not be a modified vehicle, except for those adapted for disabilities
Insurance
You must meet our insurance requirements including the following:
- Owner to warrant they have, and will continue to have, existing private insurance policy or commercial insurance policy on the listed vehicle
- Submit copy of certificate of insurance to confirm coverage if requested by Resortifi
- Make insurer aware of vehicle’s intended use on Resortifi; if leased and leasing company provides the insurance, make them aware of vehicle’s intended use on Resortifi
If vehicle value is between £50,000 and £69,999:
Be equipped with an activated IMS Tracker (hosts can purchase from the Resortifi UK shop)
Failure to install and activate a required tracker may void protection plan
We may withhold up to £1,000 on reimbursement for missing vehicles and late return claims for select vehicle models without an activated tracker
We'll request proof of an active tracker in the unlikely event of a claim — failure to provide proof may result in the withholding of a portion of claim reimbursement
If vehicle value is more than £70,000:
Be equipped with a Thatcham-approved S5 or S7 tracker (hosts can purchase from the Resortifi UK shop)
Once your tracker is installed, (email) with written confirmation of tracker AND either (1) proof of purchase, or (2) proof of installation
Failure to provide proof or to install required tracker may void protection plan
We may withhold up to £1,000 on reimbursement for missing vehicles and late return claims for select vehicle models without an activated tracker
We'll request proof of an active tracker in the unlikely event of a claim — failure to provide proof may result in the withholding of a portion of claim reimbursement
Consistent guest experience
- Vehicles not to be equipped with a device that allows anyone other than host, guest, or Resortifi (including Resortifi's trusted partners) to unlock during Resortifi trip or to obtain vehicle data relating to Resortifi trip (e.g., vehicle location, odometer readings, speedometer readings, etc.)
- Resortifi exempts from rule above any UK host/owner whose vehicle comes equipped by original equipment manufacturer (OEM) with kind of device mentioned above or who’s required by their insurer to install such a device
- Have no branding on the inside or outside other than automaker’s branding or Resortifi-approved branding
- Not be parked in a space for guest pickups or returns that has any branding other than Resortifi-approved branding
