Frequently asked questions about age requirements
- I want to book a vehicle that has an age restriction. I’ll be the required age when the trip starts. Why won’t it let me book?
You must be the required age for a vehicle at the time that you book your trip. Even if you have a birthday before the trip starts or while the trip is in progress, you won’t be able to book the vehicle in advance. We’re unable to make any exceptions.
- I’m old enough to book a vehicle, but the system won’t let me. What can I do?
You may be trying to book a high-value vehicle that has an age restriction. Check the value of the vehicle and review the age guidelines for Deluxe, Super Deluxe, and specialty vehicles. Or you may be trying to book a vehicle in a country that has different eligibility requirements from those of the country where you’ve booked before. If your issue isn't related to age, check out other booking issues and resolutions.
- Can I be added as a driver on a trip?
Driver eligibility requirements vary depending on the country where a trip takes place. As long as you create a Resortifi account, get approved to drive, and meet the eligibility requirements listed for the country of the booked trip, the primary driver can request to have you added as a driver.
- Can I have a young driver fee waived?
Neither Resortifi nor your host can waive a young driver fee. We don’t offer discounts or waivers for young driver fees based on your personal insurance, driving record, automobile club affiliation, or other group memberships.
