Vehicle diminution​

Protection plans made available through Resortifi don’t include vehicle diminution after damage.

Diminished value

If your car is damaged during a trip, there’s no reimbursement for the difference between the pre-damaged car value and the market value of the vehicle post-repair.

If your car is eligible for physical damage reimbursement or coverage, Resortifi (US or UK), Resortifi Travels Mutual (AU), Economical Insurance or ICBC (Canada), or AXA France (France) will pay for the lesser of the cost of repair up to the actual cash value of the vehicle:

  • US: $200,000
  • Australia: A$200,000
  • Canada: CA$150,000
  • France: €150,000
  • UK: £100,000
