Vehicle eligibility | US
Before starting the listing process, check that your vehicle meets Resortifi’s eligibility requirements in the United States. Hosts outside of the US should check vehicle eligibility requirements in Australia, Canada, France, or the UK.
Vehicle type and registration
Be an eligible passenger vehicle located in United States, registered to you or to an owner who’s authorized you to list their vehicle, and meets all state legal requirements
Ineligible vehicles include, but aren’t limited to, motorcycles, limousines, box trucks, vehicles that seat more than 10 people (nine passengers and the driver), RVs, vehicles that require a commercial license, off-road vehicles, three-wheeled vehicles like Polaris Slingshot or Vanderhall Venice (in GA only)
Have permanent or temporary or similar plates; we don’t allow dealer or trader plates
Vehicle condition
- Be no more than 12 years old, with exceptions for “specialty” vehicles
- Have fewer than 130,000 miles
- You must maintain your vehicle and continue to meet our maintenance and safety standards as your vehicle ages
- Once listed, vehicles that reach or exceed 130,000 mi may remain listed if they’re in excellent condition, and continue to meet all legal, safety, and mechanical standards
- Have fair market value of up to $200,000
- Resortifi provides coverage for a vehicle’s actual cash value (ACV), up to $200,000
- Resortifi uses third-party vendor to determine vehicle value at time of listing

- New York only:
- Have an inspection sticker valid through at least the following month
- Hosts must complete Resortifi host orientation before vehicle listing can be published
- Have a clean (e.g. not a “branded” or “salvage”) title
- You’re responsible for knowing your vehicle’s title history
- If you don’t, get a vehicle history report from Carfax before listing on Resortifi
- Have never been declared a total loss

Consistent guest experience
- Abide by our Exclusivity policy
- Have proof of active OEM tracker if vehicle has vehicle value at time of listing of $125,000; you may be responsible for up to 20% of covered damages above your protection plan deductible for select vehicles without activated tracker
Specialty or classic vehicle requirements
You may be able to list a “specialty” or “classic” car if it meets the conditions listed below. Call us at (number) to confirm your vehicle’s eligibility. You’ll have the option to submit an appraisal to confirm that you and Resortifi agree on the vehicle’s value. Eligibility vehicles must:
- be 25 years or older (special considerations for vehicles more than 12 years old but less than 25 years old)
- have a fair market value up to $85,000
- be in excellent mechanical and physical condition
- have all seat belts in safe, working condition
- be subject to additional review
