Charging guests for parking
You must disclose parking fees and make it clear who will bear the cost. If your guest paid for airport pickup and return, you can’t request reimbursement for parking fees you pay to deliver or retrieve your vehicle.
Disclose parking fees
If guests must pay a parking fee to enter or exit at a delivery or vehicle home location, you must disclose that information:
- (Required) Put it in the Details section of your vehicle listing under Car description
- Include it in the delivery Additional instructions
- Remind guests via Resortifi messaging when they book their trip
Note: If you fail to include this information and a guest must pay for parking, they can contact Resortifi and request reimbursement, which we’ll provide from your host earnings.
Set responsibility for parking fees
The Car description field of your vehicle listing must also include information about who’ll be responsible for parking fees and how they’ll be handled. You have three options:
- Guests pay the fee
- Guests pay the fee but you reimburse them
- You cover the cost of the fee up front
Note: If your guest paid for airport pick up and return, you can’t request reimbursement from them or from Resortifi for parking fees you must pay to deliver or retrieve your vehicle. If you create a reimbursement invoice for these charges, we’ll deny your request and charge you $50 for the ineligible transaction.
Reimbursing your guest for parking
Tell the guest in Resortifi messaging that you’ll reimburse them for the parking fee. Ask them to upload a photo of the receipt in messaging. Then instruct them to contact a Billing agent once the trip ends to receive reimbursement from your host earnings.
Covering parking fee up front
Leave the parking fee amount in cash in your vehicle and tell the guest where to find it. Take and upload a photo of the cash in the car at check-in to help resolve any issues if a guest says you didn’t leave the money as planned.
Note: A parking fee cash transaction is not a violation of Resortifi’s gray market policy.
